Play multi-handed three-way Blackjack EU versus the dealer with splits, insurance and Blackjack paid at 3 to 2 odds. This is the European version of Blackjack, and the idea is to beat the dealer by getting a higher hand to the value of 21 or below.

Dealer Rules and Insurance Bets

In Blackjack EU, the dealer is dealt two cards with one face-up and the other face-down. If the face-up card is an Ace, you will be given the option to buy insurance at 2-1 odds. That means if the dealer turns over a Blackjack hand, you will be instantly paid 2-1 odds on your bet, so you still win.

As for the dealer’s hit or stand rules, the dealer has to stand if the total of the dealer’s hand is 17 or more, but if the dealer has 16 or less, the dealer will be forced to draw for another card. If the dealer’s hand value goes over 21, the dealer is bust. That means any remaining hands you have that didn’t go bust will be paid out at even odds meaning if you bet $10.00, you will be paid back $10.00 plus your $10.00 bet back, so $20.00 overall for each winning hand you have.

Player Rules

The player is always first to act, and when the player is finished, the dealer then goes. Players are dealt 2 face-up cards to each of the positions the player decides to bet. You can bet 1 to 3 positions in this game. You will then play each hand from right to left as separate hands where you will be given the options to hit or stand. If you hit, you will be dealt a new card. When you stand, the total value of your hand will be fixed, and this is the value that will go up against the dealer.

Splits

On the first hand, you may be given the option to split into two separate hands. This happens when you have two cards of equal value. For example, 10-Q is the equal value or 3-3, and so on. You will need to pay an extra bet for the additional split hand, and therefore you will have four hands up against the dealer. That is if you initially bet three hands.

Going Bust

When your hand value exceeds the number 21, your hand will be deemed bust. That means all bets on that hand are lost to the house. This is not only a Blackjack EU rule but a rule on almost all Blackjack tables aside from Blackjack Free Bet where the hand is a push when the dealer busts with 22.

Pay-Outs

Blackjack pays 3-2 if you hit a two card 21 hand. All picture cards and obviously the 10 are worth 10 points with the Ace worth 11 points. The Ace can also be worth 1 point if you want to play the Ace as a low card. All other wins are paid out at even odds.
